Rolling Paper #5

blablabla

The Independent Paper Consortium (IPC) is a variable-scale gathering of publishers-artists-distributors who operate independently in the publishing and art landscape. Born of a collective desire to question the cultural industries, with a view to freedom of speech and financial autonomy, the IPC's format is always on the move, and as often as possible in the field. Its members are united around a desire to use print publishing (without limiting themselves to it) to bring to life, by disseminating them in various forms, states of mind that continue in their own small way to nourish the common space. At the same time, we try to stay out of the way of mainstream distribution channels, and the problems they can embody for small, independent, autonomous structures, often carried "at arm's length" by individuals, and economics fantasies. By cultivating artisanal impulses, the urgency of making and the importance of dialogue between ideas. IPC operates as a live form of distributing contemporary and alive practices, from politics to poetics. IPC can be seen as an act of criticism, even sometimes against itself. Long live IPC, peace !
